Hi, my name is Shiri Diamond and I am the founder of Diamond Speech and Language, LLC. I am an ASHA certified and PROMPT Bridging trained Speech-Language Pathologist. I have been a Speech-Language Pathologist for almost 20 years, and have worked in the school, private practice, and early intervention settings.
I am proud to have graduated from The University of Pittsburgh in 2002 with a Master's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders, and to have completed my Clinical Fellowship at The Kennedy Krieger Institute in partnership with Johns Hopkins University. I have a Bachelor's degree in Elementary and Kindergarten Education, and an Educational Specialist Certification. My background in education and literacy and my strong interest in child development guide my practice. I am dedicated to providing individualized and holistic speech and language therapy for your child. I work hard to help your child's confidence grow as they work towards and achieve their speech and language goals. I utilize your child's strengths and interests, as well as a play based approach to keep therapy fun and engaging.
I am a firm believer in lifelong learning. I am constantly taking courses to learn about and apply the latest research pertaining to my field. I love working with children and treating speech sound and fluency disorders. I am trained in Dynamic Temporal and Tactile Cueing (DTTC), PROMPT, and PROMPT Bridging. I am continuously taking and seeking out courses by leaders in the field about stuttering, speech sound disorders, and early intervention. I am the recipient of 2 ACE Awards(ASHA's Award for Continuing Education).
My goal is to give my clients and their families the self-confidence, pride, connection, and joy that come with finding their voice and communicating confidently. I will meet your child where they are, work together with you to support them, and celebrate your child's accomplishments with them and with you.
